Set up the launchers

EVLauncher and EVSwipe solve different problems. EVLauncher replaces the Home screen; EVSwipe adds bottom-edge shortcuts. You can install either one by itself or use them together.

When installing the suite, install EVSwipe last. On first launch it discovers an already-installed EVLauncher automatically and selects it as the default swipe target. If stable and unstable copies coexist, verify which EVLauncher copy is selected.

  1. Install EVLauncher and open it as an ordinary app first.
  2. Add the applications you need, including Files and Settings access.
  3. Test the all-apps drawer and second page.
  4. Press Home and select EVLauncher only after the recovery paths work.
  5. Keep the stock launcher installed.
  1. Finish installing and configuring EVLauncher and the other suite apps.
  2. Install EVSwipe last and open it.
  3. Confirm that it discovered EVLauncher as the target. Select it manually if you use another channel or want another app.
  4. Grant only the accessibility and overlay access its setup screen requests.
  5. Test the Back and Open zones while parked.
  6. Swap the zones if their placement is not comfortable.

Do not show or interact with driver-facing overlays while moving. If the launcher layout, system bars, or swipe regions differ on your firmware, return to the stock launcher and resolve the configuration while parked.
